Who would have guessed? Of all the characters on the sitcom version of Beverly Hills 90210, Saved by the Bell, the least visually appealing was Screech, a.k.a. Dustin Diamond. Now, it turns out, that the geeky, dorky, nerdy, dufus, never-gets-the-girl character is a porn star. Not A.C. Slater or Zach Morris, the most obvious choices.
Apparently in the U.S., this guy is one of the most hated has beens. He has tried everything: stand up comedy, celebrity boxing, wrestling, you name it. It was just a matter of time before one of those elegant porn moguls called him just to have a catchy and familiar name on one of his films.
Funnily enough, of the 6 main characters from Bayside high, two were the smart ones: Screech and Jessie Spano. Screech is now doing porn and Jessie Spano is best remembered for her great portrayal of bitchiness, lesbianism, bad taste and bad acting in that monument of disastrous filmmaking that is Showgirls.
Mr. Belding, you failed, and Lisa Turtle, you missed some.
